THE ART INSIDE THE YOUNG MAN - HOANG NHAT

THE ART INSIDE THE YOUNG MAN - HOANG NHAT

Lang Hoang Nhat, despite looking like an 18-year-old boy, has the mentality of a 3-year-old due to being diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder in childhood. Throughout his journey, his mother has been his constant support, encouraging him, and companionship, and pushing his confidence to pursue his dreams. Art is a form of expression for Hoang Nhat, allowing him to communicate his emotions and aspirations while also creating a bond with his mother and society.

The story of mother Thanh Tra and Hoang Nhat

Sitting back and listening to what mother Thanh Tra shared when coming to My Corner Art Studio, we couldn't help but admire this energetic mother. Just an ordinary woman who works as a hairdresser every day, but Ms. Tra's journey as a mother becomes even busier as she has to spend a lot of time taking care of and taking her children to specialized classes, even when Hoang Nhat has become an 18-year-old young man.

She recalled the first symptoms when Nhat was discovered to have autism spectrum disorder, always having to watch TV even when eating, or waking up while sleeping if he heard an advertisement. That became Hoang Nhat's only interest as a child. Even when going to kindergarten, Nhat only spent time running around and playing alone. From that, Ms. Tra took Nhat to a psychologist, officially starting the journey of trying to bring her child back to living like a child of the same age. However, the only thing that has brought joy to young Lang Hoang Nhat from childhood to the present is still just promotional films or Xuan Mai music pieces encapsulated in childhood memories.

An autistic boy "fell in love" with art thanks to television advertising

Mother Tra noticed Hoang Nhat's artistic ability from his particular fondness for television advertising. While they were on the journey of "fighting" together, Nhat participated in several drawing classes and was considered a boy with exceptional drawing ability compared to his peers. One of the artist boy's habits is to have the ability to remember and imitate details in advertisements very accurately. Nhat can passionately redraw product images, logos, or packaging. Referring to his ability Tra's mother couldn't help but feel emotional when telling it to My Corner Art Studio.

After joining My Corner Art Studio, Hoang Nhat transformed into a responsible and enthusiastic boy, especially in his drawing lessons. Despite facing difficulty in understanding time, his passion for art never fades, which is evident from his punctuality and dedication to his work. Due to his consistent efforts, his drawing skills have improved significantly. His paintings have gained immense appreciation from many guests of My Corner Art Studio.

The 18-year-old boy and his mother's dream

Over the course of more than 18 years, Hoang Nhat's mother, Ms. Tra, has had one big dream for her child - to see him become a valuable member of society and be able to take care of himself. And thanks to his natural artistic ability, that dream has gradually become clearer before Ms. Tra's eyes. Studying at My Corner Art Studio, Hoang Nhat was able to create his works and make money from selling them. If we talk about success, perhaps that road is still very far. But for a mother, Hoang Nhat at present is a sweet success that the mother Tra has probably been looking forward to for many years!
